If you haven’t guessed already by reading the title Aweber Review, this post is about the autoresponder company.
Aweber provides a lead capture system that every website owner should have and it doesn’t matter what your website is about.
If you want to provide a better service and/or sell products to your visitors then collecting their email address is a must.
There are many autoresponder companies out there but two really standout probably due to big advertising budgets.
Aweber is one and Getresponse is the other.
The Aweber autoresponder system is pure drag and drop technology so it makes it very easy for people who don’t have programming skills to use.
Once you login, you immediately have your account overview screen where at a glance, you can see number of subscribers for today, number of subscribers from yesterday and of course number of unsubscribed today along with total subscribers.
You also have a list of scheduled broadcasts and underneath that you have the recently sent broadcasts.
Last section on this page shows a table with all the figures for all of your lists.
There are five tabs across the top of the page…
Messages
This is where you create your follow up series of emails that will be sent out to your subscribers.
You can arrange the frequency and order of your follow up series as required.
You can also send a broadcast to your list. A broadcast is a one off email. It can be sent immediately or scheduled for a later date and time.
You can convert your blog posts into newsletters and send them out to people on your lists. This function is called a blog broadcast.
Email templates can be created in this section too.
Subscribers
This section is where you can manage your subscribers in many different ways.
You have the option to export the results into a csv file.
If you have a list of subscribers, you can import them here. I found the format quite tricky though.
Sign Up Forms
As you can imagine, this section is where you create the signup pages to go on your website.
I mentioned above that it is a drag and drop system, it is also What You See Is What You Get(WYSIWYG).
There is a feature where you can split test your signup forms which is very very useful.
Reports
The report feature is very powerful, you can create a report for absolutely anything you could require.
List Options
This section is for you to enter the relevant information regarding your lists.
The website has a built in help section and a knowledge base so you shouldn’t run into any problems.
Summary
Above was my overview of Aweber so in regards to this review, I feel that the system is worth the $19 a month fee.
The first month is $1.
Be aware that the monthly fee of $19 is for up to 500 people on your lists. 501 – 2,500 list members will set you back $29 a month.
The system is easily useable by someone new to the internet with no programming skills. If you need help there is ample provided.
Aweber was hit recently with a week of Distributed Denial Of Service(DDOS) attacks which pissed off a lot of people and apparently, there was a mass exodus to GetResponse then that company got hit with an attack.
UPDATE
I don’t use Aweber any more far too many issues now.
